Field Trips:  Our chapter members try to schedule one field trip a year.
Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter took a field trip to tour the Alamo on November 6, 2025. 8 members and 2 guests were in attendance. We had lunch at la Panaderia Café and Bakery. We visited the new area outside of the Alamo, toured the Alamo Church, and then toured the Alamo Exhibit at the Ralston Family Collections Center. 
Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter took a field trip to Austin and toured the Republic of Texas Museum on November 7, 2024.


Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter took a field trip to Fredericksburg and toured the National Museum of the Pacific War on November 2, 2023.


Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter attended the Grand Opening Dedication Ceremony for the Republic of Texas History Center March 25, 2023.


Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter took a field trip to the LBJ Museum on November 3, 2022. 
Members of the Moon-McGehee Chapter attended the Grounbreaking Ceremony for the RTHC on November 15th, 2019.
On November 2, 2017, the chapter visited the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library Collection at the Bexar County Archives Building in San Antonio, Texas

On November 3, 2016, the chapter visited the Birth Place of Texas --- Where Texas Became Texas. 
We toured The Star of the Republic Museum and Independence Hall at Washington-on-the-Brazos state park.
Our chapter has visited historic Bastrop, taken the 'True Women' tour, mapped out the battle of Plum Creek, taken a tour of the DRT Library and the Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio.
On April 7, 2016 the chapter visited the Sebastopol House in Seguin.



On April 2, 2015, the chapter visited the Claiborne Kyle Log House and the Blanco Chapel.
