Periodically, the chapter holds public programs
at the San Marcos Public Library.
Contests

Each Christmas the chapter donates canned goods and cash
to the Hays County Food Bank.
In conjunction with the state organization, our chapter each year sponsors art contests and essay contests.
In 2015, our fourth grade essay contestant from Crockett Elementary won 'best essay' for DRT District VIII.
In 2023, three of our art contest submissions won at the state level.
